I awoke this morning to the same day that I had the day before. Get up, go to work, come home, go to sleep and repeat. I expected nothing different. Then I got an alert on my phone: "Check out your daily matches". My sister signed me up for this website, I didn't think much of it. There was Michelle in my daily 5. Was this the same girl that I knew from college and had not seen in 12 years? It was. That second first date was September 20th. A few months into the relationship, I was talking to my sister who found the whole idea of how we reconnected to be fate. A smile came to my face as I drifted into thought. My sister asked " where did you go?" I told her that I just thought of Michelle as an old woman, and it made me smile. That was the moment we went to get the ring. |
We were supposed to leave in the morning but I couldn't wait. Michelle and I drove over night to get to key west by sunrise. She had no idea, she was sleeping in her sweat pants the whole ride. We arrived just before sunrise, enough time for her to change. We layed there on that sandy beach watching the sunrise, ring in my pocket, palms sweating, fumbling over the words in my head.....I found the right words and she said YES!!!!!!! |
