I waited over 35 years to start a relationship with this wonderful man.  He is the partner, father and friend that I've always wanted for me and my family.  I've known what kind of man Eric is for years, but the care, love, and patience he's shown me throughout the last few months have been the icing on the cake.  He definitely signed up for "in sickness and in health" before he actually said the words! I could not have made it through without him.

Not only is Eric perfect for me, so are his children.  I don't know how I got so lucky but Alyssa, Danielle and Ryan are a stepmom's dream.  They're great, respectful kids who make it easy to love them unconditionally.  I can't wait to spend the rest of my life loving this special family.  

Having a partner, another to add strength to your own pillar, someone to laugh, cry, plan and goof around with, someone to love and who returns your love unconditionally... It's one of those things that you hear or read about, see diamond commercials for, or passively think, "I'll have that one day". To actually have someone though, to be in that love fully without fear of vulnerability or judgement, to never have to look over and wonder if that person will be there for you through it all because you feel it just as tangibly as if you were stroking that person's face. That is one of life's greatest and most irreplacable joys and Amber Armstrong is that joy and then some for me. I'm not sure if I deserve this much happiness but I'll spend the rest of my life treating her as if I need to earn that light every single day.
