On a previous vacation to Italy, Erika KNEW she wanted to get engaged on a romantic hilltop winery in Tuscany. But would Christian have the SAME idea? The risk was too great! She quickly started her planning. Sure enough, amid the rolling hills, horses, lush vineyards and exuberant wines of Poggio Grande Winery in San Quirico d’Orcia, Christian was the only one who had no idea of the impending proposal. But unbeknownst to the couple, Everyone in the winery DID, so they all greeted them smiling big and giving them the thumbs up as they walked by. At one point Christian said “Wow, everyone is really nice here”! The more her nerves shot up the quieter she got, until finally she gulped down her glass of wine and very quietly asked Christian if he would be willing to be her partner in life and placed the titanium ring on his finger. (Previously discussed so she wasn’t stepping off too steep a cliff) It wasn’t until everyone in the winery came out and the wine maker presented them with a Magnum of his finest Sangiovese that Erika lost her cool and uncontrollable “Happy” tears flooded her eyes. It couldn’t have been more perfect and memorable.
